Letting It All Go

So, here's the thing... All this stress and drama are really start to get to me. My rant and rave yesterday was that people assume that Dave has nothing but free time becaues he is out of work. My answer to that is, "YEAH RIGHT!" Dave is busier now than he was when he was working! The beauty in all of this is that Dave has a big heart and will do anything for anyone with no complaints. I on the other hand have only been seeing one side to this, the downside. He's gone almost every evening, he's missing the kids Saturday bowling and Blake's x country meets and most importantly time with our family. I got the distinct feeling that I ruffled a few feather and hurt a few feelings, which was not my intention! I feel a little worried now that those who I have offended are angry with me as I tried to speak to one last night and received the cold shoulder. I had a few negative posts by the way on my FB page after I posted this and a few applauding me for sticking up for my family. My goal for myself is to not complain the next time someone calls last minute and needs a hand, even if it means a change of plans for us. I'm going to try to look on the upside which is that my husband is a helpful, wonderful man, who is more selfless than I. I am going to accept it all as part of God's plan rather that fripe about feeling used. It's one of the things I love about him the most! To mark this auspicious occasion I am going to treat myself with a soak in the tub while reading a few chapters of a good book. Here's to letting all that stress go! ~ Amanda

Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

My Daily Life...

SO, the weather is definitely an indication that fall is officially here. I'm so not ready for winter yet and Jack Frost is definitely nipping this morning! I awoke to frost on the ground, just plain ridiculous! Can't mother nature hold back for just a few more weeks... at least, until we get through Halloween. On a happier note, I am thrilled that we are back to a NORMAL school routine as Dave puts it. Whatever the heck that is! Blake is running x country & bowling, Lyndsey is playing in the orchestra, singing with Eastwood Singers, bowling, AND she put in her letter to run for student council. I think she is a glutton for punishment but I know she can handle it. She'd rather be busy than do nothing and I would rather do nothing than be overscheduled. I'm thankful that the school year got off to a good start and both the kids seem to be doing well. Awana starts Wed, October 6th so I know things are going to be crazy after that. Word of Life is going well for the teens and we're planning a Halloween Party for them on Sat, October 30th at the church so they're pretty excited about that. I hope all of you reading this are in good health and are feeling as blessed as we are. Much love to all of you! ~ Amanda
